The Protector
In The Protector two American cops Billy Wong (Jackie Chan) and Garoni (Danny Aiello) travel to Hong Kong to rescue a kidnapped girl and shut down an international heroin pipeline.
My Verdict: A bad choice for Jackie’s second try at American stardom, the director tries to turn him into a bad ass cop which doesn’t work. Some good fights, but try and see the HK edit. (Now available on the Japanese Blu ray). Jackie re-shot a lot of the action his way and you can see how much better it is.
